Ed Godschalk did very well this year, receiving the Vern Polley trophy for most proficient pilot, navigation trial winner award and club person of the year award.
It's a great thing to be recognised by my aviation peers for achievements in the club and in the air, but it needs to be said that I feel privileged to be able to rub shoulders with so many quality pilots (and people) who have helped me get to where I am today. In the end, the pilot proficiency days are not about winning, but participating and sharpening skills that ultimately make one a safer pilot. Let's continue on keeping the high standard that HDFC is known for, a reputation that is thoroughly deserved.
